Stephen DeBerry is an Investment Director at Omidyar Network, a mission-based investment firm committed to fostering individual self-empowerment on a global scale. Some of his recent investments include Prosper, InnoCentive, Voxiva, Meetup and KaBOOM! Stephen also manages Omidyar Network’s relationships with Ashoka and Creative Commons.

Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Stephen was co-founder and CEO of LTC Health Partners, a privately held firm that integrates emerging diagnostic and treatment technologies into the health care delivery system. Before founding LTC, Stephen served as CEO of Kundi, Inc., a video search company spun out of Interval Research Corporation. He previously served as senior manager of business development at Interval Research, a technology research lab founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree with a focus on cultural and linguistic anthropology with highest honors from UCLA. He also holds a master’s degree in social anthropology, as well as an MBA from Oxford University. Stephen is a British Marshall Scholar and a Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute.
