Africa Green Economy: Entrepreneurial Opportunity

Brief description

The African Network (TAN) May 2011 networking event will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. The topic of this month's event is: Growing Africa's Green Economy: Opportunity for Entrepreneurs. We will be joined by the CEO of MannaClean (www.mannaclean.com), Tara Lynn Gray.

Tara will discuss the motivations behind her new company and the need for African Entrepreneurs to see this as an opportunity in fostering entrepreneurship on the continent. According to Gray, "it is incumbent on those of us in the African Diaspora to ensure that Africa is a major player in that economic development and green growth. To that end, as entrepreneurs, we should look for green products, services, and projects that can help fuel green job growth in African countries not only because it is a sound economic investment but because it is the right thing to do".
