Paschal Iwuh

President & Chief Executive Officer

Iwuh is a TAN co-founder and served as TAN’s Director of Public Relations and Communication till April 2006. Iwuh was a co-chair of TAN's inaugural conference, TANCon, held on October 14, 2006. He led the Sponsorship & Affiliation Committee until he became the President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2008.

Iwuh worked for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Lagos as a Petroleum Engineer. He also worked as an engineer with Bayer Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA & Berkeley, CA for five years. He was the Vice President of Crumbs Reliability Engineering, LLC from 2004 to 2005 and still serves on her board. Currently, he works as a Senior Engineering Consultant with JM Hyde Consulting Inc, a biotech consulting company located in South San Francisco, CA. Outside of engineering, Iwuh is involved with the World Affairs Council of Northern California, San Francisco, CA and has initiated, organized and contributed to many international programs affecting most regions of the world including Africa.

Iwuh is a PhD Candidate (2008) in Organization & Management (with specialization in Leadership) at Capella University, Minneapolis, MN. He holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary; was a visiting scholar to the school of Chemical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia; holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering (first in his class) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Business Administration Certificate (with Distinction) from University of California, Berkeley.

Gordon Williams

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

As the Chief Finance Officer, Williams plays an integral part in the planning and strategic thinking for the future of the TAN Organization. He also oversees financial reports, financial control and risk management.

Mr. Williams currently works at Cisco Systems in the Central Development Finance Organization where he develops plans for the manufacturing of product for the largest business unit.

Mr. Williams held roles in Cisco’s Worldwide Sales Productivity group where he led project teams to deliver productivity enhancing tools for the Sales force. He also worked for two years as a Finance Manager at the UK offices of Cisco Systems. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Williams worked at Gartner Group UK as a Financial Analyst and at Slater Maidment where he trained as a Chartered Accountant.

Gordon Williams holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

Nana Serwaah Tabi

Assistant Director of Finance

Nana graduated from the University of Science and Technology , Ghana , with a BSc. in Agric Economics. She worked as a Credit Officer for the Agricultural Development Bank in Ghana before coming to the U.S. to pursue her masters degree.

Nana has an MBA from Goizueta Business School , Emory University in Atlanta GA. She worked as an investment banking associate with the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure Group of Westdeutsche Landesbank (WestLB) in New York and now works with Intel Corporation as a Financial Analyst.

Nana enjoys traveling, sampling and cooking cuisine from different parts of the world and loves to spend time with family and friends. She has a passion for issues that affect Africa and is extremely excited to be a part of TAN.  

Sade Sobande

Director, Media and Public Relations

As TANCon 2007 chair she was responsible for ensuring the success of the conference by managing and leveraging people, time and monetary resources. Ms. Sobande is a manufacturing engineer in the Manufacturing Technology and Quality (TnQ) group at Cisco Systems Inc.  She is also one of the co-founders of Nirvana Catering Services, a catering company focused on providing the best of African foods for all types of events. She is a member of the TANCon 2008 Discovery Committee.   

Ms. Sobande holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and a Masters degree in Quality Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Olufemi Dosunmu

Director of Communications

Dr. Olufemi Dosunmu received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, including a Physics minor, from Boston University in 1999.  Between 1999 and 2000, he was employed at Lucent Technologies as an ASIC designer for high-speed telecommunication systems.  Returning to Boston University in 2000, Dr. Dosunmu earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Photonics and Optoelectronic design.  As a graduate student, he was awarded the National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship in 2001, as well as the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS) Graduate Student Fellowship in 2004.  He has authored and co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and conference proceedings, including a book chapter, and is a holder of two patents. 

Dr. Dosunmu is currently employed as a Senior Research Scientist at Intel Corporation’s Photonics Technology Lab, based in Santa Clara, CA. 

Funmi Oliyide

Director, Monthly Networking Event (MNE)

Funmi is a consultant in The OAO Group, a management consulting company he founded earlier this year. The OAO Group focuses on delivering solutions for the executives and managers of electronics companies. Funmi has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech, and a bachelor in electrical engineering from M.I.T.

Luc Tengueu

TANCon 2008 Chairman

Luc Tengueu is a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems in San Jose, California. He joined the company in 2000 after earning a dual Masters Degree from Polytechnic di Torino, Italy and University of Illinois Chicago. He is the holder of several patents in the field of IP technologies and received several awards for his contribution to the success of the 6500/7600 product lines at Cisco Systems.

Luc Tengueu is also a savvy Entrepreneur. He co-founded two African business clubs in the Silicon Valley with a focus on empowering people of African descent and giving back to the continent. As a social Entrepreneur, he co-founded the Silicon Circle in the late 2007 with the goal to help African Universities in the field of research. By Mid April of 2008, the Silicon Circle will be donating 200 computers to Universities in Cameroon. Luc Tengueu also highly contributed to the success of TANcon 2007 by being part of the speaker and Marketing committee.

Luc is well travelled and has lived in three continents. He is fluent in French, Italian and English. On his spare time, he enjoys discovering new cuisine and is a multi time wine testing contest winner.

Adlina Hamid

Webmaster, TAN

As TAN webmaster, Adlina will oversee all operations relating to the organization websites including the conference websites. She will update, revise and provide strategies to making the website competitive and lively. This will be done on a need-basis.

Adlina has worked with TAN since its founding and was the architect of the TAN website. She was basically responsible to creating TANCon 2006 website and issued press releases of same. Please be on the look-out for more bios on Adlina Hamid.
